Can I put two cages next to each other?

I'm new to owning Chameleons. I know they are territorial and stress easily and I want to avoid making a mistake. I want to put two Panther Chameleons in separate cages right next to each other. Can I do this or will they stress each other out? Do I need a divider between them so they can't see each other? If it's okay for them to see each other, is there a minimum spacing I should have between cages?

Yes if your goign to have 2 cages next 2 one another put a divider like cardboard anything they wont see each other through because they will get very stressed. Hope this helps you :) By the way Welcome to the forums

If they are going to be close they should have a divider between the cages. Allows for less stress on the animals. Even a pillow case or a piece of fabric will work. Good luck with your new ones. Let us know how everything goes.

Thank you, I'm glad I asked. I am using an automatic misting system so I wanted the cages close to mist both cages. I will use a sheet of black plastic between the cages.

Yeah I just put up a piece of 2 sided tropical fish aquarium paper up between 2 cages. It works great, they cant see each other and it adds to the decor.

Now that's a great idea! I'm going to stop at the pet store and get a sheet of that tomorrow. I'll just make sure there are no chameleons pictured on it!! lol
