Can my Veiled Chameleon have some sort of cancer?

it's just seems weird for him/ her to tell you that it is an infection but not give you any antibiotics or some sort of medicines.

I still think that you need to get a bigger cage???? That seems to be way too small for your veiled. If you have a problem with the mesh and light getting thru it, get a different cage.

citybabe66...have both the bumps been drained now?

IMHO, the vet should have cleaned them out thoroughly and sent a sample for a culture and sensitvity test to determine what bacteria is involved and what medication would get rid of it and then put the chameleon on the appropriate antibiotic. If he/she did not do that then there is a good possibility that it will spread/return.

Chameleons can get a number of other bacteria such as (but not limited to) pseudomonas aeruginosa, proteus, neisseria and klebsiella...and most of the bacteria they seem to get are gram negative (like the 4 I have listed). They can also get some gram positive bacteria.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is usually green (in my experience) and usually smells like rotten grapes. The others I'm not sure of.

Be careful when you are working with an infection so that you don't transfer it to another animal or yourself.
