Thanks are you sure its nothing to worry about? I have a female aswell do u think she may have bitten him? And do u think he looks healthy as in everything ok? As i have only had him a week and have never seen him eat and im not sure if he does is their anything you could segest?
Yes they are in the same cage but they are both around the same age the girl is a little bigger not much but when i watch them they get on fine and she dosent hiss at him or anything.
Looks like a cham bite its the v shaped mark right?
Yes it is the v shaped mark i thought that was what it looked like but lyk i say they seem fine together.is this normal for chameleons to do or do they need to be seperated or maybe a bigger tank for them whitch i was going to get in the next couple of weeks anyway.these are my first 2 chameleons i have a bearded dragon and corn snake.
You need to sepereate them.
she bit him. look at th shape of the bite, its the shape of a cham mouth.
also, that puts stress on them. AND males will breed with females all the time, so the minute shes old enough. he will, and that will take a toll on her.
seperate them.
now.
Do i realy hav to seperate them i was told it was to keep a male and female in the same tank from they are young.
chameleons are not social creatures.
they must be seperated.
What are you housing them in right now?
There in a terrerium 2ft by 4ft with plenty of plants and vines to climb on.
my veiled has the same thing

my bad i was thinking of the black marks on the line XD i didnt notice that stacy's veiled had a bite mark i thought she was mentioning the dark markings on the side
thats fine for one individually. not two.
So a bigger tank might solve this problem? I was thinking the vivexotic Ax48 vivarium and apart from the bite does he look quite healthy?
NO. a bigger tank will not solve it.
Seperating them will.
and he looks fine.. for now.
But they will get stressed out if they continue to be housed together.. and eventually, it could kill them.
