i had an issue with stink bugs last summer and my cat would get up close to one, and attempt to chew it - and then he'd just gag/puke. so yeah, i don't think it would be a good idea to feed them. awesome pictures though. i love bug pics!
I looked it up and there's people who do feed them off. Even bright colored red ones.
It is not a stink bug but it IS a "true bug" order Hemiptera. That is most likely some kind of assassin bug. They eat other bugs so I'd leave it alone both because you don't know what it has been eating and because it is a "good" bug AND because it is a mommy!
Those are all good reasons. Don't feed it and leave the kids motherless.
