There's a butter knife on the floor of the cage...that gives some perspective.

It looks like the 18x18x36 model. Should be plenty for your xanth, but bigger is better. So if you can find the 24x24x48....that would be better!

How much was it on Craigslist? You can get a new 24x24x48 for $100 online...I have that same style cage and it works great

My goodness you are observant! (y)

I got the two together because it was the only thing for sale at pet smart at the time. I plan to get a second light for more uvb and to keep plants alive better.

Not sure, but if you got a fixture that held tube lights you may wind up spending less in the long run because you would have less lights to change out. I use a quad fixture with 6500k plant bulbs and a UVB bulb. It provides great coverage.

IMHO, by the time you add bushy plants to this cage it won't be large enough for an adult jackson's. They can self-regulate better in larger spaces and will have a better quality of life. One of many pet peeves I have with commercially produced cages is that they are simply TOO SMALL.

I agree, it seems like reptibreezes are all only for juveniles, the only acceptable one seems to be the XL. Its funny they are produced and marketed for chameleons, yet only one model meets the minimum size requirement for an adult. Perplexing for sure.

Its not perplexing...its simply that the people who produce these cages don't keep the animals they sell for and have no clue about what they should have to live a decent life. They are designing them for human convenience.
