Can You I.D. this Insect for Me :-) ?

Howdy All,

This little insect's body is about 1" long. It showed-up in our kitchen sink . What is it?

I believe it's called house centipede (Scutigera coleoptrata).
They mainly prey on ants, roaches, crickets, and other insects. Now.. why exactly they can be found in your house, Dave?

It's a house centipede. We find them at work almost every morning! Yuck! Might be a Manhattan Beach thing.
