carpet chameleon eggs

ok so i have a quick question..i have some carpet chameleon eggs..and i had read that for the first 40 days they are to be around 23 degrees..and then the next 40 days they are to drop to between 15-18 degrees and then back up to 23 for the remainder. obviously all temps are in celsius as otherwise it would be very cold eggs. was wondering if some people have experience in this area. to me it sounds weird as that likely doesnt happen in the wild? am i ok just to keep them around the same temp for the entire time? all inputs are welcome.
thank you in advance
regards
Rob

I would keep them cool (18 degrees) for the first month or so, the bring them up to room temperature. The cooler temp trigers diapause, which (in my mind) results in healthier hatchlings.

Good luck with you eggs!!

Edit: I also wouldn't warm them, then cool them, them warm them again; it may have an ill effect on the embryos

Hi,

I incubate so:

The first 45 days at 24-25°C

Then 40 days at 10°C

And the rest of the days at 25-27°C.

That´s my experience... .
