Carpet Chameleon: Maverick

After a couple months of prep & a slight Fedex scare....

My 2 1/12 month old Carpet Chameleon from Frank Payne arrived. Thanks Frank!!!

He's still getting settled in so I didn't want to snap too many pics. I wasn't able to get any photos that display his colors but he's already displayed some of his potential.

We named him Maverick because we live in the CA Bay Area, home of one of the greatest surfing waves on the planet.

Super excited about our new addition.

Is it wc?

I am so jealous! I've been setting up a bioactive enclosure for a carpet chameleon for the last couple months. I refresh Frank's facebook page multiple times daily, waiting for him to offer single carpets again (and boy is the wait killin' me). Such a cutie

I stalked his page for a month, then put down my deposit the min I saw he was offering them. It's worth the wait...but the wait is the worst. LOL.

Now you need a female to get the full spectrum of colors! Very nice! I think the smaller chameleons are under appreciated.

Id like to breed them, but I need more experience to really feel comfortable doing it. I couldn't find a CB carpet breeder on the west coast, so maybe it's a biz opportunity. LOL.

Once I researched Carpets I think they're undervalued as well. Plus they only live for 2-3 years max...so it's a perfect "starter" chameleon IMO. People who are new to the hobby aren't committed to the 5+ years like other chams.
