Here are our small colony of Carpet chameleons... We have had 6 babies hatch.

First Here is Mama.... Gretal .. She is the same girl in this years Forum Calalnder... she is in a much calmer state in this photo.
She was captive hatched by us from a WC female and is now a little over a year old

The Male I got from Dooley1.. who we uncreativly named "Dooley" because we couldn't think of a better name :rolleyes:

NOW for the BABIES!!


This one JUST hatched yesterday. I opened the lid and there she was! mouth open ready to attack! Already has attitude and not even a day old

Nice work Dez! They are perfect. I have been waiting for this thread.I am happy to see "Dooley" is doing well for you...I like the name personally ;)

Let me know if you want to trade a male for a male when they get a little older. I am going to be searching for another unrelated male to add to my group soon. I have a a group of young males now.

Oh yes he is doing great! It is amazing how fast he grew.

And yes we would be up for a trade
 
Congrats Dez!! I am waiting PATENTLY for my clutch to hatch, started with 8 but lost 2 eggs so 6 months later I have 6 big carpet eggs... Cant wait to see those little guys and gals pop there little heads out! What was the Mate date for these guys?

My carpet eggs have been really unpredictable. One clutch was laid in March and another was laid in May and both are hatching now... So one took 9 months and the other only 7.... I think it has a lot to do with the incubation temps.. We don't use control the temps to speed up the diapause . the eggs are incubated at a temp between 70- 79 for the duration.

I think if we did use diapause we would have a more predictable hatch date
 
That is funny that you named yours Dooley. That is what I was going to name mine that I got from Dooley! I decided to alter it slightly to Doogie :)
