Carpet Male

Just wanted to share some pics of my male carpet cham. I'm only left with the smaller chams now since my wife doesn't mind them too much and can tolerate the little feeders to help take care of them when I'm not home. At least she's willing to help and I didn't have to completely leave the hobby. :)

That is a very cool looking cham. I am still thinking about getting another chameleon. I had 2 male veileds but they passed on about a year ago. I am thinking about getting a panther cham but these carpets look awesome! Thanks for the post!

He looks super nice! My male doesn't get this much green ever! (But he's probably younger than yours). Very handsome little chameleon.

That's a healthy looking male.

Thanks. The wife will be happy to hear that. Of course, I taught her :D

he is a cutie:)

Thanks :) Coming from someone who breeds these little guys, that's a nice compliment.

If you decide to get another cham, you can't go wrong with either a panther or carpet. Husbandry wise, they are both about the same to care for with the exception of basking temps (I keep the carpet basking temp just slightly cooler). They both display great colors but IMO carpets can display more different color combinations. Also another thing to consider is size. Carpets are so much smaller in comparison.

He's looking great! How old is he and where did you get him from?

Thanks. I never got a definitive age but from my communications with the breeder, he's around 5-6 months I think . I got him from Dooley1.

Very handsome male. I'm glad you didn't have to get out of chameleons completely. ;)

Thanks Jann :) I'm definitely happy to still be part of the chameleon owner club.

Thanks. My guy is actually younger than yours. My guess is he's around 5-6 months. I've seen pics of your male carpet and he's also very handsome. Your female carpet is beautiful!!

Spectacular! What a beautiful boy! Mine just stays a lime-ish green all the time but those spots and teal spine are to die for.
