Carpet Panther Cross?

Does this ever happen? One of my female carpets "escaped" through an open door and got one of my Faly males head bobbing and going crazy. This got me wondering as to what happens in the wild. Can they interbreed? I know that they live in the same area and are kinda closely related genetically, just curious to see if anybody knows one way or another.

Kinda, with the difference being that both Carpets and Panthers are in the same genus (Furcifer) where as cats and dogs aren't even in the same family (Felidae and Canidae). As far as appearance goes, its more like asking if your lab can breed with your miniature poodle, which it can. I am not proposing that someone try it, just curious as to if it has happened in the wild.

Calm down. Even though I don't like crosses, I did recently purchase one. Was making humor, not preaching. Relax and try a kitkat bar.

I was actually curious about this as well, whether there are any different species of chameleons that can cross-breed. Not talking about within the same species such as panther locales.

I know this is possible with other animal species and plants, but not sure about chameleons.
