Does your reptile food have carrageenan in it? For a long time carrageenan has been used as as a thickener and emulsifier and believed to be safe. It is used in ice cream, yogurt, pet foods, cottage cheese, and soy milk to name a few. Studies and scientists are now proving that this preservative is not as safe as once believed.
