Still waiting on my Trio.. So talk about cart before the horse, situation :)
however, as this is going to be a trial possible breeding project I like to find out who has Bearded pigmys and if there is any trading of offspring going on?

I ask as I choose pigmys as They are charming little buggers, undervalued as heck even better prospects than some of the larger species IMOP.. for me the Size, housing and frankly these guys are better suited for the climate in New Hampshire.. I have room in my home, baring power outages.. not only do I have ideal temps year round.. My finished basement has a constant temp of 70.. winter/summer.. I have space for a LOT of cages, and due to the climate, DONT need to provide a ton of electrical input.. heating or AC..

Why I chose these guys they fit into the environment I have.. there are other species that are perhaps in some ways easier to breed, bigger price tags, or heck more viable in some way.. but.. also have some real limits too.. Kind of someone with a reptile room with berdies, lepord geckos, and Veild chams trying to raise and care for a Jackson.. yeh.. not going to work.. right?

sorry find these guys so interesting a species.. not to mention the ability to provide as NATURAL micro environment attractive :)

So, as I am starting with a 1.2 trio.. I may find myself with offspring, I have lots of space, so can keep every one if needed.. however the oh the parents are WC, so, As I like to "pay forward" with CB animals to lessen import pressure "IF" all goes well, Vs just hell sell the babies off to get rid of them.. I really would like to know.. are there others out there trying to do more than oh a few clutches out of the animals they have, or heck a one generation and out?? not a issue if one can keep importing.. We all know that is a issue.. look how few CB options there has been since the imports shut down.. :( any other fans want to try to change this?? any other like minded people out there?? want to network? I have no idea if I will succeed, but looking to find out if there is a option to do so.. BEFORE my first possible offspring :)

Thanks..

I have a clutch incubating of brevicaudatus and intend to expand my bloodlines when I see them available next.
Breeding networks are good things.

I have a few clutches incubating and am trying to establish a good size in the futures. I think a breeding network is a great idea!

I would be interested as well. I just got 1.2 WC brevs, and plan on at least another trio. I love everything about these little guys. Having a network to help get bloodlines going, would be great. I hope my new additions settle in, ok. I'm a little nervous, as they're my first WC animals.

I have a cb male because I spent a year looking for a breeder as I didn't want to by a WC animal and not breed it. I would be open though to getting a cb female if I had the money.

Seems like some intrest :)

Well same deal with me, I delt with WC at work, so nervous also.. and sort of a first foray into incubating or trying to breed reptiles...

I am a bit of a pedigree nut, while I wait may see about getting a database started? anyone doing something like that?? what I lack in the breeding experience I have tons in building pedigree databases.. :)

Welcome to the world!

Well, look who decided to make an appearance last night just in time for this thread!

oh sorry :( That is really sad...

Good thing I was hoping many may be interested.. I may not get any, but I am not really looking at just getting babies to sell off.. Not that that is bad, just not the kind of breeding project I am looking to do..

mine are So far doing great! so hope this does not jinx it.. Worrisome when a sr member has a loss....

Really cute little buggers, hard to find... Cant imagine how they manage to collect the numbers they do to import..

WC Just got, just not even a week.. .. and today.. adding fruit flys and one of the females just spotted them looked at me.. came over and ate one.. right off my hand..
pretty sad they are so far not bothered by much and WC to boot.. when a "captive" bred.. larger species seem like any little disruption is a "major life event" cannot get him to hand feed even after three years..
