Same here, and doesn't that suck? It really makes you wonder how much time these guys have on their hands who've videoed the emergeing sequences.... Sixteen years ago my mom and I actually watched one of my first 4 hatchlings pull himself out of the egg. That was the only time I've seen it live.
I know its odd. Ive seen it happen with some baby veileds I hatched last year. Even the couple of those I saw, I qued them to come out. They'd have their head hanging out, and I remember lightly poking one, and it opened its eyes and looked at me for a few minutes just chillin with its body in the egg, then decided he was going to come right out in front of me. LOL. I caught the tail end of a panther emerging this summer, but it was pretty much pulling its legs and tail out, so I wasnt able to see the whole thing. Hopefully one of these days I can snap a whole sequence of one emerging. Just about bein in the right place at the right time I guess.
