hey guys is it safe to feed my veiled a centipede as a treat ..
?

i think it would be de-fanged as here in hong kong people defang them for their fish

Just because someone else does it, doesn't mean it is a good idea. Centipedes are very dangerous.

I wouldn't recommend it. That being said, I would bet they eat much worse in the wild. If it moves and it edible size they will probably try it if they are hungry.:)

Most centipedes use venom for hunting, or rather for killing their prey. many have poision in their bodies, to deter being preyed upon.
So, like with spiders, its not recommended.

ok now i live in california and what about little milipedes? they dont have venom i ont think and i kno they don have teeth.

wouldthy be ok?
and what about just crickets going arond they house and they r WC.
would they be ok?

are you 100% sure that your community and your house areas are pesticide free? Are the insects clean from parasite's eggs?
In that case, they should be fine to be fed to your cham.

Glomerus marginata (pill millipede) is one that can be fed as occasional feeder, i believe.
Just remember not to feed the big one (use the width of the forehead rule). Judging from the exoskeleton, i think they gonna be hard to digest.

ohh raigghtt
never knew they had poison in their bodies...
only in their teeth
i used to feed them off to my arowanas and they were fine..
i did that with my pacman frog aswell and shes fine

hmm i guess chameleons are just different eh?

perhaps one of the reason why you don't put your chameleon in aquarium full of water, eh? :D

Apparently I am wrong on the tails. I pride myself on my knowledge of useless stuff like that but I guess I missed this one.

off topic, but had to say: arowanas are KEWL fish. I loved mine. Had two silver arowans, living with oscars and clone knife fish. Biggest arowana grew to about 100cm (three feet) long and boy could it jump! Learned how to make big, strudy expensive fish tanks to house that fish! worth every penny.
