So yesterday my chameleon Dexter ate her nesting area rocks. i was walking by and i saw her chewing and it was strange because i hand feed her so there wasn't any food in her cage. I looked in and saw the rocks in her mouth and she starting choking. I immediately grabbed her and stared trying to get them out. First i used a small syringe because that as the closest thing to me. After freaking out cause there was a bunch in there i called the reptile store and they told me to use a q-tip. so i got that. i fought with her for about 45 mins. After i finally got everything out when she went back in her cage she was dark green and closed her eyes and wasn't moving. So i took her back out and held her rubbing her back for about a half hour then she started to get her green color back and start to move around. She looks normal this morning but she only ate one worm. she wont eat anything else. i'm thinking it is cause her throat is in pain but i'm not sure. Has this happened to anyone else?? Do you have recommendations for me?? please i need help. Im very worried about her.

Do you know if she swallowed any? You may want an X-ray and she may become impacted and possibly die. Not trying to scare you but I think a vet visit is in order

i dont think she swallowed anyone cause i saw her chewing right as she went up from that area. But im not 100% sure. But ill look in to the vet. Thanks

i removed the rocks as soon as i cleared them all from her mouth. she actually regurgitated some up yesterday. She was in an odd place in her tank and i looked down to talk to her and she opened her mouth really wide at me and sat there then closed it and walked away. I got her out and removed those while she was quite upset at me. but she showed me cause she wanted them out. She is back to her normal self all day today so i think all the rocks are gone but im getting her checked to make sure.
