Cham chat

Too bad we didn't have a chat room where us cham people could get together and talk about all things cham. We had that back in my cornsnake days and it was usually pretty nice. Of course there was drama once in a while and that aspect of it was not so nice. What do you guys do when you just need to talk to other cham nerds?

Whatsapp groups were our (me and 5-6 friends) way of communication. But I don't like it too much because it takes away useful information and some interesting media from the forums. And even if not very frequent, there is drama. Even without drama there is a developing "group mentality". I don't know if it is better or worse overall. It is both for the group members, definitely worse for the forums.
If you are talking about an open chat thought, that is a bit different of a concept. An open chat in the forums website seems like a nice idea, but to my experience it becomes a spampool for a few typical questions real quick, like "does anyone sell this chameleon" or "do I need a waterfall for my chameleon" and may others.

It can be improved and tried, I guess, there is always hope.

Yeah, back when "the source" (a cornsnake forum) was still online it had an open chat and cornsnakes.com had an open chat too, but that one would have drama from time to time. Your probably right, it might mess up our little cham utopia we have going here.

Line app has great settings for a chat rooms. It is easy to download and use. It would be fun to have one.

I think it'd be pretty cool. I like the forums because it's a place to BS about my exotic critter obsession when no one in my life gives a damn.
