Cham Eating Plant?

I have a schefflera in my enclosure, and I noticed that the tips of some of the leaves look like they have been munched on. I haven't physically witnessed my cham eating the leaves, but I can't figure out what else could cause that?

Veiled chameleons often eat leaves. Nothing to worry about unless the plants are toxic. Maybe some crickets nibbled off the leaves before your chameleon shot them, too.

I read on another forum that having lights too close to plants, and having water on the leave can result in a "burn" to the plant? Has anyone ever heard of this before?

Yes it happens. Depending on how close the light is to the plant and depending on how much heat the light gives off. Not sure if having water on the leave would acutally help or hender the burn to be honest.

Both of my veilds eat plants. There are a couple things you can do that will make your plants last a little longer untill your veiled destroys them.1st make sure your veild is getting well hydrated every day. They eat plants for water too.2nd thing you can do is offer them some soft veggies or leafy green every other day. Both of mine like mellon too.Doing these thing have doubled the life of the plants in my veilds enclosures. Hope this helps
