Cham is as brown as can be all the time

Kp is staying brown, and dark as can be. He’s new, had him a week yesterday. He’s been moved around a lot and had his enclosure completely changed three days in. Is he just adjusting, pissed off, what’s the deal?

Basking temp 85.7 using a probe.

Ambient temp around 68-72 using digital thermometers

Humidity stays around 67% in the bottom of enclosure, 59% in the middle 37% in the basking spot.

He’s eating

Have a reptirain spraying him and the pothos for 15 seconds every three hours
And he’s eating about 10 crickets a day.

I blow this forum up. Apologize for that.

He’s extremely skidish, probably due to all the moving and changing I’ve had to do with him this past week. @Fireborn

He's probably just settling in then. If you have been disturbing him a lot since you have got him he probably hasn't had the time to settle in and feel comfortable in his home.

@Dylan.Wallace wow, that’s a substantial difference. Great lookin Cham btw, I appreciate the input. Makes me feel a little better. Have a tendency to over analyze and worry about my new reptiles, did the same thing with my crested gecko when I got her 3 months ago and my kingsnake when I got him a year and a half ago. Their still here and doing damn good so I must be doin something right, I guess the best advice for me is I just gotta relax lol o_O

@Fireborn Thats what I was thinking but I’m just making sure, i’d Feel pretty awful If my lack of husbandry skills were the reason that this little guy met his demise. But I’m sure everyone here feels that way. Thanks for helping though, settles the mind

You are correct Matthew, we have all been there! I have kept chameleons for over 10 years. I still freak if I think something is wrong!
Except for moving and bothering him, you are doing great. Lots of us move and bother our chams! You are not alone. You get over doing that fairly quickly.

Haha I guess that’s not necessarily a bad thing, at least you can always tell the type of person who’s keeping these awesome creatures by the amount that they freak out. Freaking out just means they’re in caring homes I guess ;)

But thank you for the compliment, means a lot coming from an experienced keeper!

It’s funny cause I’m actually looking for a higher piece of furniture right now lol how high should I get him up, what’s the lowest you’d recommend so I can get a good as to what I should get. Thank you for the advice! @larrodinero

Yeah,, no problem! I keep Cyrus’s cage about shoulder height! Just so I can reach every spot in his cage without a step ladder!
