Im relatively new to the cham world. Wondering what a good starter breed would be.

I would go with either a veiled or panther, they are the most hardy species. You should do as much research as you can on both species and then make your decision

I recently had a flapneck that passed on, I regret getting it because after doing proper research for some reason they are very hard to keep.

i would go for a veiled or panther.

veileds are a little cheaper, but panthers have more veriety of colors.

the 3 most important things you MUST do is
1. correct supplementation/and uvb lighting
2. watering/feeding
3. and correct set-up, temps, and humidity

edit: DONT go for species that are harder to take care of, like melleris, parsons, and some kinyongia species.

current cage

I have a current cage that measures 18"len, 24"wide and 28" tall with 2 screened sides, and a screen top, i made 2 with glass so it would be easier to mist, i have a 100w heat emitter and a 50 watt basking lamp, with a 27 watt ub light. Would that be acceptable for a couple months if i get a little tike.
