Cham room makeover

Thanks all!!

Sorry, I didn't get this post on my email updates and for obvious reasons I haven't been on the forum much this weekend:eek:
The flooring is really great stuff. It is made by Trafficmaster and is called Allure. You can get it from Home Depot either online or more "normal" styles in the store. It installs great (this is my first flooring install ever) and all went well. The stuff I ordered was $1.39 sq/ft

Thank you Rob. The floor looks awesome.

rob our paint and floors look very similar in our chameleon rooms!! You have great taste it seems!!!

gr8t looking room, they will love it. Now go to arts & crafts store and get some tropical stencils and make leaves etc on the walls in a darker green.

that would set it off imo!

Awesome job so far! I'm excited to see how you use the same shelves if you end up getting them! I'm about to get a second unit for an additional 4 cages, and I like that with one of them I want fit another 2-3 small cages on a lower level, like for hornworm moths, WC insects, or tiny baby cages. So I'm really happy with their versatility.

I was getting a mural printed but something happened with the wall paper they were printing on and I am out of luck....so I ordered a wall "tattoo" of a nice tree that will go on the free wall.

This is crazy Rob!! I bet that room looks better than yours. lol
Thanks Jon!! Almost ;) but to keep the peace we redid our bedroom about a month ago:eek:
Rob the room is going to be awesome! I can't wait to see it with all the chams in it. :)

Thank Robin and soon....should have some mostly finished pictures tonight or tomorrow. The chams have worn out their welcome in the family room:eek:

Thanks Olimpia! I did end up getting a couple of those shelving units and used black caulking to seal the tops of them...I use the LLL water trays so I am hoping that will be enough. Unlike, FL we have NO humidity here in AZ so I run the misting system for about 30min a day so drainage is super important. At this point I am not happy with my female row of cages and might go back and pick up one of the smaller racks for that peninsula of cages:confused::confused:

Here are a couple of teaser progress pics:p

Yea, I imagine that will be fine. I mist a lot and the units are holding up really well.

What size cages are you using? I like that I can fit the four 48" x 24" cages on one unit and then five 36" x 18" on a second unit. It leaves a few inches left over, but it's not too much.

I am really digging on that floor the more I see it. Nice coloration.

Ohhh, so do the chams get so scoot around in the rc cars or what!

Man that looks great. Can't wait till we get our house in November.. Have to do something like this.

Looks good! I have the same flooring! It worked very well when my water heater bust and spilled out 2 years ago. No problems since! It is waterproof!

Thx for the feedback, that is exactly what i wanted to hear. So far I am very impressed and glad i waited for this style! Now if i can just get everything organized to my liking....i am having issues with the location of the AC unit in regards to cage location.

Not completely finished but it is getting there. Nothing as pretty as Olimpia's set up but very functional and will hold 11+ adult chams :D Will still working room for microscope work etc.

Most are comp rock crawlers or scale four wheelers but I do have a couple stadium trucks. All my racing buggies, nitro and monster trucks got the boot;) You can see a better pic of them here

And on a side note that shelf is a source of frustration because it keeps me from putting a 2x2x4 cage in the corner  I think I am actually going to remount the bracket and shorten the shelve so it doesn't hang over the last cage in the row.
