Cham thinks I'm food?

My oustelet's cham has been really friendly lately, which is out of character for him, like yesterday when I opened his cage he ran to the edge and JUMPED onto my hand! Today he climbed onto one of my fingers, and i noticed he was looking at me a lot, then he did that thing where they stick their tongue out to aim, right at my eye! I turned him away and made him go back on his branch, and now he's just been looking at me from his cage. This is the second time in the two months I've had him that this has happened. Does he think my eyes are moving bugs? I just want to know if this is normal or at least not unheard of.

Completely abnormal....don't make direct eye contact!! You didn't get you chameleon goggles when purchasing him???


I'm just kidding. He is just picking up the movement from your eyes. Oustalet's have an insatiable appetite and will literally prepare to fire at any movement. Mine is the same way. He is not particularly interested in eating eyes like yours, Lol, but anything that moves he locks in on. No biggie, as long as he is not successful in his eye hunt. Ha!
