ok, so I got a baby veiled the other day that I posted about, was supposed to be a male but its a female...I'll be keeping her due to unforseen circumstances, (I still want a male, however)anyway, every time she spots me, she comes running up to me, and tries to get to me. The first night I had her she all but refused to get off my hand and into her enclosure, and every time I put a cricket in with her she runs almost frantically to get on my hand. Its really cute in a way. Once she clings to my finger she calms down and hangs out..until I try to put her back...then she freaks..My other female is the opposite, she has a do not touch policy, which I don't try to handle them anyways..is it normal for a baby to try to be with you every time they see you?

Well, You could be really lucky and have a Veiled that really likes being handled... I really doubt that is the case though. I think what is happening is she is not used to her new environment. Maybe post details, and maybe pics of what her setup is like. A lot of times when a Cham is looking to get out... It is because there is something about their cage that they don't like. You want to make sure there is plenty to climb on, Your temps and humidity are in line, and that there is nothing else that may be keeping her from settling down. I would be willing to bet withing a week or so she will calm down... and not want anything to do with your hand when it comes around. It is said a lot... and it is not what we want to hear most of the time... But I feel it is true... A pissy Veiled is a healthy Veiled.

EDIT: Keep hand feeding as she gets older... and sometimes they really will warm up to you to the point where they won't mind coming out to see you.

this is the entire enclosure, though the one side that she is on has been altered so her "area" is much smaller until she grows some...

Cage looks good. I would recommend some bio vines or sticks to get up close to the uvb and basking bulbs. Also if there is another cham in the enlosure beside her she may be scared.
