Hi,
Recently I've been given a male Veiled Chameleon called Hugo. He came from my girlfriends cousins who are the type with lot's of money and look at something and say "I want it." They didn't do the best job of looking after him so now I'm trying to make him as comfortable as possible.
He has a glass terrarium, it isn't that high but it's not massively small (prob. about 2.5ft high by 3ft wide). I have noticed recently that he seems to always be crawling around on the ceiling.... is this normal behaviour? I thought perhaps it isn't high enough in there for him or maybe he is trying to get closer to the light. Either way I'm worried that he'll fall. What do you guys think? I will get him a new, narrow and tall home sometime, but he will have to make do for now due to funds.
Any advice for a newbie would be good. I'm not sure exactly how much to feed him - I have been giving him 2-3 medium sized crickets covered in phosphorus free calcium powder every day. Thanks in advance.
Bennny
