Chameleon being all weird

Hello, my Velied Chameleon (female) is about 7 months old and ever since I got a new heat bulb she's been black ever since and she eats double her normal speed she acts like she was starved when I just fed her a few hours ago. I hand feed her 4-9 crickets at a time twice a day. Is there a reason she's acting like this? Is she trying to lay eggs? I don't think she would be stressed?! Thank s for taking the time to read my post!

Well honestly females eat like horses most of the time anyway. It's up to you as a caretaker not to over feeder. At this time in her life you should only be feeding 6-8 crickets every other day. Other things you may need to feed more or less of

No I don't have a laying bin. And okay thanks other places said she should be being fed 2 times a day but I'll start feeding her once a day.

She looks normal to me, although I don't think she is old enough to be receptive or gravid she looks like 4-5 months old which feeding 10 small crickets a day seems fine just be sure they are gutloaded and dusted in calcium. https://www.chameleonforums.com/care/food/
