Hi peeps... I've had my veilds for 2 years now and I have breeded them...my eggs have started to hatch and I can see movement...however, it has been 6 hours since the first glimpse of noses peeking out of the eggs and there has been no advances since that point...is this normal???

I have no idea about chams but have heard that sometimes tortoises can take a day or two to hatch. Hatching is a strenuous activity.

I've noticed it can take up to 48hrs with panthers, I've not bred veileds but think you should just wait it out, once they start walking around the incubation chamber then move it into the baby enclosure.

I'm guessing you are waking up to a couple babies crawling around. Yes it's normal for them to pip the egg and just hang out inside for a while.
Got ten hatched out so far ! Chuffed

My post that "made no sense" was about my Ball Pythons (Balls) that I used to breed. I thought it might be a little informative that they sometimes take more than a day to come out of their eggs. As this was your original question regarding chamns...
