Chameleon either has stuck shed or calcium powder in or around nostrils

I'm sure this has been answered..but what do I do if I find stuck shed or calcium powder around or in my veilds nostrils ..I'm not sure if it's stuck shed or powder .. he is so small yet to tell and I'm not trying to just grab him and freak him out ...I bought him from underground reptiles I should add . Seems healthy moving around eating . I'm using 2 compact uvb bulbs untill my big one come in the mail any help or advice greatly appreciated

Sounds like it is probably snalt, which is harmless.

First I've heard of that term myself ..I'm a new owner ..but I do own lots of other reptiles as well . ...I just wanted to make sure it wasn't stuck shed of sorts..I was freaking out for a while because I was wondering how the thing was breathing with a clogged nose lol

Many of us have been using the term snalt for this powdery nose thing for many years.
