Chameleon Enclosure

I was wondering if anyone knew how to setup a micro environment. I was wondering if there was a way to set up an enclosure that essentially maintained itself.
In this sense what I mean of course plants / bugs / organisms that breakdown harmful bacteria / fungus into non-harmful sources.

The closest comparison I can think of is in an aquarium you setup a bacteria colony/plants that help regulate the toxins and parasites in the aquarium.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

If you had a group of chams in a very large enclosure (like a greenhouse) I doubt you'd have enough nutrient cycling for it to work. One cham by itself...doubt it.

Gotcha, but is there any studies or posts on the matter? I was just curious. I hear differing facts, like cleaning weekly v monthly v yearly. And I know people who say they've never bothered to clean at all.
