try the highest spots, especially in the window sill, my chameleons climb the most uncanny things, like walls :p they also like fabric because it's easy to grasp. just in case I would check the rest of your house as well. But yeah I have always found mine to like to go as high as possible and as low as possible. try misting the free range, that way if he is coming out he can at least drink, it may also attract him.

Maybe you could try takin pictures of your room and while your actually searching we could be scanning.....maybe we might spot something?:(

Our prayers are with you and your little guy, hope he turns up safe and sound :)

I have a video up, is that good enough? If you need pics I can get some up.

So sorry to hear about your little guy. I have to say from experience it's key not to give up. What's on your side is he is in your room...someplace.
I've lost mine several times do to my husband putting them outside when i was working to show his friends and then forget them....I always found them...sometimes as many as days later.
Yours is in the house....keep looking. You're doing everything you can. Keep at it.
Good luck to you.

Saw video... Check under the dressers/ cabinets and behind them BUT be careful he's not underneath or near by that if you pulled them out they could squash him. Maybe check behind them with a flash light instead of moving them but check under dressers/ cabinets with flashlight as well, even if you have already check there re-check cause he could have moved around. Also check that slotted door and see if he's somewhere on the door. Any vents? Windows to check by? Other rooms as well maybe. What ever you do step and move things slowly and carefully. I wish you the best and hope you find him real soon. Post an update when you can. Good luck!!!!

It's almost impossible to see on the video. If you systematically took pictures of your whole room (overlap to miss nothing) with a good digital camera, then some people (like froggielog and me) would be happy to start looking around at maximum magnification. The files would probably be too big to if you wanted to do this I would PM you my e-mail address so you could send them to me directly.

That would be great, I really appreciate it. I'll have to find my moms digital camera.

Man, for only having him a few weeks, it hurts like hell.... I grew really attatched to the little guy. /:

WOW Your room is a disaster! I hope you find your little guy soon, and once you do clean your room lol so it's easier to find him for the next time!
When our 5 month old was in his free range and my 13 yr old wasnt watching closely he somehow walked up the dresser and was hanging on the power cord to his light behind the cage. Was pretty funny!

Pilotman, I sent you my e-mail address. Just send the pics when you get them.

I don't think your room is that bad, but as noted, I have a 16 year old girl and sometimes it's impossible to even see her floor.

I always say...Never really LOOK because you'll never find anything no matter what it is...Glance, Roam, and eventually it'll catch your eye...Like last night one of my stick bugs roamed off from the tank...I looked and looked couldn't find it any where...I finally gave up and LITERALLY not a second later i found him under my kitchen cabinet!!!

Also with one of my free ranged chams - he likes to roam all through out the house I've come to learn most of his "Go To Spots" but every so often he's not at any of them...Then he eventually comes crawling out of hiding or my daughter spots him and starts screaming in excitement! ((She's 15 Months Old)) & boy does she love her Chammies!!

Anyways..I wish you the best of luck! I have faith that you will find your little one soon!

Your awesome! I hope you spot him. Good luck.

his little green butt came walking out to eat! I wanted to hug him & to beat him

I know exactly what you mean!

If you don't think he has been injured and there is no escape from the house, there is a good chance you will find him.

hope u find him

i lost mine once and never found him a week later there was a bad smell... where is the cage any wire around that area...maybe on the blinds if he could get to them... i read a post some found there hiding behind the blinds

look behind your cage.. he may be on the back of it... also the wire you showed in the video goes up towards a 10 gallon tank.. look in that area.. if there are holes in your silver speakers where the bass comes out check there.. they are crafty.. ill tell you this... i lost a 4 month old panther once in winter and found him in may and he was huge... had been living in the attic.. dont ask me how he was finding water but the heat in the attic kept him alive.. life will find a way. just relax.. when you are in a panic you miss key elements. check any nook and cranny even if you dont think its possible!

Thank you so much. I will take pictures and upload them ASAP.

Yeah, its a lot cleaner than before, but like someone said earlier, my room is the perfect place for a chameleon to hide.

I really hope that will be the case with this little guy. I hope I will walk in and find him making a beeline for his free range or something, especially since I am going to mist it tomorrow.

Thats adorable, its great to have a lookout like that! :D

Thank you Kayla, I really appreciate it.

Yeah I looked all around his cage. I also looked around the 10 gallon tank (Red eye tree frog enclosure there :) )

As for the speakers, that was actually a GREAT eye by you. I didn't think of checking that. I just did and its a negative. :(

And that makes me feel great. Especially since I have food set out for him. The only problem is he isn't eating it, but like you said, hopefully life will find a way.

I closed all the blinds hoping he will see a little light coming from them in the morning, head over to them, and maybe climb up them.... Or the free range. I will be misting both closets and his free range tomorrow. Hopefully he'll come out.

As for now, it is 3 AM and i've been searching for him like a mad man. The search will continue tomorrow. (Well, later today)

omg! How did he get in your attic!!? That is crazy that he lived and thrived on top of it!

Keep him in your room..

Check periodically in high places like every hour or so and maybe youll see him. Also make sure he stays confined in your room so he doesnt get out and roam around the rest of your house. I had a leopard gecko do that once and i found him a week later downstairs all the way in my basement sleeping peacfully under my heater lol!! Just dont panic and youll find him sooner or later. Good Luck!

So still no luck at this point. Im still looking. Day 3 without food or water for my little guy. I need to find him TODAY.
