my vieled chameleon is about three months old will keep his right eye closed in the morning. He will eventually open it by the end of the day but he won't eat until he opens his eye. I was going to take him to the vet but I have to wait for an appointment so in the mean time I thought I'd ask on here!

Whats your humidity level? Is he showing any other signs of distress? (lost weight, weak, not eating, dehydrated, ect.)

Humidity is normally for 55-65. He won't try to eat when his eye is closed. And he still moves around the cage. He doesn't seem stressed to me. He is also drinking normally.

Hm, can you tell me your lighting schedule? Handling? Any falls or prior injuries/illness? To me it sounds like his eye is irritated

His lighting schedule is from 8 in the morning to 8 at night. As far as I've known he hasn't ever been sick, I just got him.

Yes they said it was a common infection in little chams and it was nothing to worry about as long as he takes the medicine
Im glad to hear that. Should clear up fast, I suggest adding some additional humidity so that he can clean his eyes more for now

I can't seem to get his humidity any higher that it is! Do you have any tips
If you have a screen cage, put some shower curtain around the sides. That really helps maintain higher humidity levels without have the mister running constantly.

Thanks for sharing the medication. The vet only gave me eye wash and some ointment but i feel like that wont be enough :( I am also going to be doing what you suggested @K_Wolf since i have a screen cage too and as soon as the misting is done, all the humidity leaks out of the cage. Please keep me posted on your Chameleon @Bombbow :)
