She’s got a pretty face. I too would like to see some better pics of her. Tomorrow is fine…we’re ‘regulars’ Lol. I saw your other posts and you’ve gotten the best advice so far. :)

So what I am seeing is a slight bowing in one of the pictures to her arm... This can indicate MBD starting. Most commonly this is from incorrect UVB lighting. I also am seeing a little bit of puffiness to her eye turret.

Per her being afraid of you. Chameleons are a reptile that really are more of a look and don't touch animal. They get stressed out when they are held and messed with which can impact their immune system. Veileds specifically are more fearful and tolerate humans less than say a panther will.

Ya I know about the look no touch, but is there anyway to get rid of mbd and what does the puffiness mean

You have to get the correct UVB lighting. When they do not have it then they pull calcium from their bones. They eventually have totally bent bones and for females not only is this dangerous if they lay eggs because they can not dig correctly. But they can have other complications due to them not getting the calcium needed to calcify their eggs. UVB lighting and their body goes hand in hand. The UVB lighting triggers their body to create a natural D3 in it. This and proper supplementation allow them to create strong healthy bones.

Once MBD starts there is no way to reverse the damage but you can stop it and prevent it from getting worse so that the bones become strong again.
