chameleon in snake bag idk?

This is why we need to perfect a flux-capacitor, so we can just beam them places.

I can understand the "shock" at finding out how animals are shipped, but really shipping an animal is going to be a gamble no matter what.
People use the bags all the time though.

If the animal arrived fine I dont see the issue.

If your animal arrived with bark in its mouth, then I see the issue.

If the animal is eating bark that you have in the enclosure, you sould remove the bark from the enclosure.

Whenever I get tarantulas or small snakes/lizards in the mail, they're in deli cups that are very padded with paper towel, shredded newspaper, or both. Not one problem from a properly padded deli, but I prefer snake bags when possible. No heat issue like stated by another member.

ok thanks guys just wanted to see how normal that was. and no no bark in my tank the shipper might have had some tho when it came in the mail it spit up that right away i almost thought it was about to die but she made it. i hope everyone shipping their chams make it weather its in a bag or not. thanks for ur time.

This seems odd.
Do you have a picture of what she spit up?
Im pretty sure chameleons cant actually vomit.

I know this is a bit off topic but pic#2 is her cage?

well she did she vomit i will post a pic of it so you ACTUALLY know. solid snake.
Well Id like to see it yes if you have it.
Oh they can vomit, I've watched it happen...
Well there you go!
thank you :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Please dont think I meant I didnt believe you, I thought I had read that they lacked that ability, and was curious what had came out of your cham, and if it was indicative of an issue that needed to be addressed.

Have you apologized to the sender.?

And is that your cage.? Are you sure she didn't throw up that brown stuff at the bottom.? If not, its something you need to take up with the seller. In a nice and polite way.

ok yes that my pic of her cage the brown stuff at the bottom is top ORGANIC soil and washed play sand. She was kept in a cage at a store with bark they sender told me they had gave them crickets befor shipping YES she might have got shipping sickness i guess and NO i will not apologize i really think he did a crappy job communicating with me and shipping.:mad: oh yea and she eats small ckricets that I breed myself and are gut-loaded mychamtini112012 since you care so much for the shippers. i know not to feed smal chams big jumbo crieckets

You're really conveying serious dickery. No need for a tude, these people do their best to help you and your Cham and they are very polite. Even when confronted with rudeness and poor grammar. Take it down a notch kemosabe.

I'm trying to be helpful to you, so I really don't need this. I asked simple questions, that could be answered without an attitude. Organic soil and washd play sand can still be injested by your female and cause problems. I was simply curious. I'm just trying to see both ways here and to be unbiased, as I was not there while you communicated with the shipper. I feel that we should be fair to everyone before talking down about them. And I'm not saying you fed her big jumbo crickets, even the biggest small crickets could get caught in her throat. Again, just another question I asked to make sure.

Your cage could use a little more plants and vines and everything though. Looks a little bare.

ChappyMcChap wow thanks for the reality check i think i am a better person now, I was like reborn or something i feel a butterfly lmao. oh yea i will take it down a lil.;);)

I agree that your top area is a bit bare, but my main concern is your basking situation.

How high up is the bulb from that stick?

You want it fairly close, so that you are not heating the whole cage space to a basking level temp.

Basking spot should be isolated so that there is a gradient of temperature from that isolated area, out to the edges of the cage.

The gradient is necessary for the chameleon to thermoregulate, and be healthy.

thanks yea i been caught up in a bad mood since she almost died on me i feel kinda bad for her that's all maybe over pretected i know it sounds wack but i am i guess lol. her temps are about 65 to 70 everywhere and she basks at about 85 to 90. ps srry to anyone that i might have offended i never not my intentions.
