Chameleon laying eggs for 5th time.

Hey.

My female veiled that I've had for over 2 years is going to lay eggs for the 5th time.

Here are the dates she's laid eggs:

August 20009
December 2009
April 2010
August 2010

And now she's scratching again.

Every time I'd ask on the forums why she's laying eggs so often, people would suggest to feed her less, and I do.. and now she's really skinny and always hungry. I feed her about 3 large crickets every day or two.

Does anyone want to trade their male veiled for her? I'm sick of this.

Aw, poor little girl. Just leave her be and let her lay her eggs... May I ask why your "sick" of her? I mean you can just toss the eggs right. :) Good luck! ;)

Poor little girl. Have the clutches been smaller? Try feeding her 3 times a week 5 to 8 feeders each time depending on size. Also keep her temps in the very low 80's. I would recommend using several different feeders and not just crickets and also offer her some fruit and veggies once a week. I would also buy her some liquid calcium and give her a couple of drops for 3 days after laying eggs and feed her well for 3 or 4 days after laying before you start her on 3 days a week.

The clutches have been a little bit smaller, I photograph them each time.

It's just frustrating getting sand, and then I would always move all her stuff from her cage into my giant cage, a big hassle.. This time the cage is ruined so I'm trying bins again (never worked before, she would just escape)..

And I feel bad because she's going to live a shorter life from all this egg-laying!

Do as Jannb recommended and just know that you have a healthy cham and you are giving her a great life. The joying of having that should out weigh the hassle.

I would follow Jannb's advice as that is how I would do it. well, I wouldn't allow her basking temps above 81F, but she did say the low 80s.

What size was each clutch?
Can you post a picture of her please?
What do you specifically supplement with and how often for each supplement?
What do you gutload/feed the insects with?
How many of each insect do you feed her a week?
