Chameleon lying on perch

He seems to lie there the first half of the day and then gets up and goes towards the bottom where the humidity is highest. His basking spot hits about 80-85 degrees. I mist once in the morning at about 5:30 (I have to go to school) and 7 at night. I have a most that goes off every two hours for 60 seconds.

Oh no! Why has the thread stopped? This Is similiar as to what I am going through now. Well it seems I have to find out what the proper way of asking a question on here, The reason why I quoted this part of the thread above is because my basking area is at 80 to 85° as well . Chamycon How is your Cham now? Any update?

If he is laying on a branch sleeping or with his eyes closed it might be lack of sleep or a bigger problem. If he is lying there awake he is most likely just resting or basking is a warmer area of the cage . My Cham will sometimes sit there watching me or out a window.
yes. as the veilds get older they also get lazier. if my cham isnt eating or drinking water hes basking

he also never likes to explore the cage. your guy could also be trying to rest, i had the same sort of thing. my lights failed to go out at 6:30 and his lights were on still at 9:30. i was watching a movie so i wasnt in my room. when i looked for him he was at the very bottom of his cage. the next couple of days all he did was hang near the bottom of the cage.
