Chameleon not eating & temperamental

Hi there, I have had my chameleon for around 5 months, he is roughly 17 weeks old. He has been fine since I have had him but always been a bit wary around me. For the last week he hasn't been eating as I have seen, plus has been very temperamental and has been hissing at me and trying to bite me. I have been feeding black crickets for the last week rather than brown crickets and he hasn't taken much interest in his crickets or his veg and is acting very out of character. He has been displaying dark brown colours and I'm not sure what is up with him. Does anyone have any advice?!

hi there, sorry to hear about your chameleon woes :(

first off, any pics of enclosure or a pic of your chameleon himself would help a lot.
Also, there is a sheet you can fill out that will provide a lot of information you did not list that will help all of us try and figure out whats going on.

Just from what you said. Have you tried switching up feeders? Tried some silkworms or anything different other then crickets?

also you didn't say what kind of chameleon you have. Im not a expert on this, but have heard some chameleons go through a "teenager" stage where they are kind of weird and out of character. Im not sure if 17 months surpasses this phase tho.

Also, what are you temps/humidity? what does his poop look like?

if you can fill out that information sheet on your chameleon that would help us on the boards out a lot

good luck :D
