Chameleon Not Eating

My veiled has recently stopped eating crickets. She has been eating mealworms but has stopped eating those as well. I bought some superworms and she ate two of them today. From the looks of her poop she is not dehydrated. It looks like she may be getting ready to shed again. She is acting normal. The vet I use to work with told me to check for eggs. I palpated her abdomen but do not feel any eggs. I have some roaches ordered and on the way to see if she will eat those. Any other ideas of what may be going on or what I can do? Thanks!

We need more information...basking temperature...age of the chameleon...how long have you had her...supplements dusted on insects (be specific)...UVB light...basking light you're using...photos please. Is there an egglaying container in her cage?

Yes please fill out the how to ask for help form under the health clinic forum

Basking temp is 80 degrees Fahrenheit, she is about 3 years old, I have had her for almost 2 years, there is a uv light. I use repti calcium with d3. I use a 100 watt zoo Med basking light. No egg laying container.

The spot on her head is from when she was little she burned it on the heat lamp that petsmart had. She had mbd when she came to us at Banfield. The vets there helped heal her head and fix the mbd. That is where the scare is from and why her legs are deformed. I am one of the techs that works there so I adopted her. She just had fresh urate. I am attaching a picture of that

I'm concerned that she has no appropriate place in the cage at all times es to dig in so she can show you when she needs to lay eggs. The container should be at least 12" x 12" deep x 8" filled with moist washed playsand. It should be opaque.

Has she ever laid eggs since you've had her?
I'm hoping she's not eggbound. She's quite plump.

Does she sit low in the cage, sleep during the day, etc ...signs of eggbinding?
Depending on her diet and temperatures she might never have gone into reproduction...but judging from her size she is either way too fat or very gravid. How much does she eat in a week?

As long as the container is opaque and big enough it doesn't matter if it's Tupperware or some other type of container. It can be metal or plastic or clay etc.

That's not a large amount of food so I expect it's eggs that is making her fat. If she starts showing signs of decline she needs to see a vet ASAP before she's too weak to be helped.

Put sand in there put her in it. She crawled out. Will she figure out what to do on her own if she does have eggs?

Ok thank you all so much. She is sleeping now since it is "night" for her. No lights. Lights come back on in the morning at 7. Still going to call vet in the morning and schedule an appointment. Will keep you all posted!
