Chameleon Predators

I have a female Veiled / Yemen Chameleon, she's about 3 /4 months old. 2 months old from purchase.
Just went and bought a 1.5 meter bendy vine from the pet store for her to climb on as she's getting a bit big now for the small false branches but when I put it in the tank she went a bright green / yellow and acted as if she was shit scared! I'm guessing she thought it was a snake! I left it in for a bit to see if she would grow to accept it but no luck so I took it out! I guess I'll have to go out and get some larger branches!

Hi, Welcome to the forums! Chams are such fickle creatures sometimes...and they certainly have their opinions of what they like and don't like. It's amazing how they can wrap us around their little cham fingers...LOL!

It is very possible that your cham did view it as a predator. If so might as well kiss it good bye and get something that looks "normal" to your cham.
