Chameleon Prolapse

I was putting my Veiled Chameleon to bed last night and saw a HUGE red/pink thing coming out of its bottom. She’s showing signs of laying eggs but I couldn’t find any in the tank. I was thinking maybe they got stuck and won’t come out? I’ve tried doing the sugar water and KY jelly method and I think it’s somewhat helping. If any of you guys who live in San Antonio, Texas have faced the same problem please give me some advice or recommend a vet that helped you. Thanks!

Oops....just asked in your other thread about the sugar water.
She really needs to see a vet ASAP....and in the meantime keep it moist with the KY jelly.

She's pretty big with eggs and may have already become eggbound. She will likely need surgery to remove the eggs now that she's prolapsed.

ok I’ll call all the vets I can are there any you recommend?

It pulled up these vets near you that are accredited in treating reptiles. Call the numbers there. I believe your girl is eggbound. . You need to tell them she has a prolapse and may be eggbound. That it is an emergency.

Gulf Coast in Houston would be the best place in TX for surgery. It make be a drive for you but is so worth it. Prolapse is very serious and so is being egg bound. Dr. Pacheco has a lot of chameleon experience.
