Chameleon Ran off Hand

My chameleon has pretty strong grip normally,
I've already filled out a care sheet , etc.

So I'm not really looking for specifics, just
wondering if anyone has had a chameleon run
off their hand or let go at any time?

Maybe i made a sudden movment or put him near
something he didn't like?

Or did he just get excited (bright colors) and since chameleons have horrible
depth perception at young ages, he just slipped or took a wrong step?

their reaction tends to be to "drop" if they feel really threatened and they can take a fair fall, so you probably just scared him on accident somehow

ok ty this has happened once before at 2' so i try to keep him "cupped" in a way when handling him, but that might only be promoting the problem. x.x

Run off arm

One of my Chams is a 6mo old Ambilbe and his name is Manic Mick after a friend of mine. The point I want to make is that Mick has ran off my arm several times no matter how well im holding onto him. He's MANIC, once he's outside, he chills but iin the house , he wants to bolt. He just bounces off carpet. Shakes it off and away he goes. Alot shorter distance than when in a tree in the wild and they have to drop to save life. "Fight or Flight" and they come out of those whithout much more than a pantload.

so i definatly shouldnt worry about any physical problems
or anything unless i see something physically abnormal on
his body? i hear theyre like cats when they fall almost is that true?
