Chameleon stressed?

Has someone else asked this? Why is his basking temp 92 degrees? A jackson's temp shouldn't go any higher than 85 f unless we've decided different with this specific cham?

Pretty sure that was in reference to the Panther chameleon and not the Jackson chameleon.

Edit: Yes it was, but the Jackson owner did state the Temps are between 70-90 which yes would be too high for a Jacksons.

So uh. My chameleon is drinking but not eating. Today when I opened the cage a bug(a fly) flew in there and he ate that in a heart beat but yet he doesn't want his crickets?

Are you free ranging the crickets or using a cup? You may need a cup more like what Nick Barta sells or make your own that will make the crickets more visible. If he went after that fly then you know he's hungry. Have you tried hand feeding?

Here's a sample of one I have made...its not the best but it was needed quickly.

I have tried both free ranging the crickets and using a cup. I haven't tried hand feeding because the chameleon turns black every time he sees me.

Idk if that means he's hungry, it may just mean he likes flying insects like most chameleons.

Am I allowed to bump this? He still hasn't eaten and it's been a whole week. I called the people we got him from and they didn't help at all.

He's more than likely a wild caught. Did you end up adjusting his basking temps? What are you offering as feeders? A lot of the time wild caught jacksons don't recognize other more common feeders in captivity. Is he pooping regularly? If not he is not eating, if he is then he is eating and enough. But if he's not you may need to not offer just crickets and whatever else you offering. Most wild jacksons are attracted more to flying insects, so I would get some spikes and make some flies happen for him.
