Is this normal??

She sometimes strikes for water dripping off leaves, as she would if it was food....

is this normal?

My guy seemed to be striking on water. I would use some hornworms if your thinking he is dehydrated. I also have injected some dubias with water, lol Thanks Reptoman

Sounds desperate to me. If they are really well hydrated you will almost never see them drink.

I rarely see Rambo drink (or eat for that fact) but the other day I saw him try to get a drop off the therm/hygrometer hanging on the back wall. He struck at it from about 4-5" and nearly pulled the meter off the wall! He didn't try that again! Usually he positions himself just under one of the misters and waits to lick his 'lips'. It's so funny to watch him looking up to see if he's under the mister. It may take 5 minutes to get in position but he does it one or more times daily.
