Chameleon subreddit... is it for real?

It wouldn't even be that bad if they sold the cup method as a quirky thing they found works, "Go ahead and try it out if you want" type approach. Maybe it even does to an extent, I don't know. But instead they tell a bunch of curious people that search "pet chameleons reddit" eccentricities such as misters are dangerous, Bill Strand gives bad advice, and if you don't only hydrate your chameleon via water from a glass cup you are a terrible person.

So i taught Luna how to hang glide with eagles today. She actually enjoyed it alot more then i thought! She even took a action shot while gliding with her winged friend of me.

Is that for real with a person or fake for this thread? If real, that's awesome, and if fake, that's hilarious!

I just dug a little deeper (barely), and it seems r/chameleons automatically removes any comment with the chameleon forums named in it. It was either that or Petr Necas or FB from what the person put, but those two seem less likely with what others are experiencing in getting their comments removed

OMG, I'm right! I posted a comment with the chameleon forums mentioned and got automatically removed with this message! I did not speak misinformation, create a poll, or put any "religious chameleon acolyte"; I literally put check out the forums for people who have rarer species-specific experience!

Hahaha they are really saying it's bandwagon fallacy to check out other sources of information? They have created their own little bandwagon on Reddit and are harming chameleons in the process. Horrible!

These assholes on the subreddit LOVE to tell you that you are inept and that you are the source of misinformation. They try their absolute best to belittle you as much as they can. The chips they have on their shoulder…

The most outlandish part of this is that NONE of the advise they give is based off of scientific proof. They’re like “use a t8 because I think it’s nice” or “use a shot glass because it’s clean” there is absolutely NO proof supporting these claims, in fact, there’s literally proof to negate these claims... No Bill Strand or Petr Necas research based approaches, it’s just an armchair chameleon “keeper” who is coming up with this BS. And people listen because they don’t know any better.

Well the post I was watching where one person was responding with knowledge, that person's thread of comments got removed, leaving only someone saying don't mist or drip your chameleon that lives outside, just use a shot glass for hydration! I had a screenshot of the thread and looked up the removed person to ask them what happened, and they got banned because they didn't have enough karma to be trustworthy!
