i have a female ambilobe panther

every since i bought her at 6mo she has been very sociable, feeding out of hand, jumping onto my hand wen i put it in cage etc.

but now and for maybe about a month maybe less she seems to not want to know me, as soon as she sees me she hides in her plants, she wont handfeed even offering waxworms, i have tried not feeding her for a few days then offering waxworms but nothing, she flares up when i put my hand in cage (if shes even out that is)

she has just shed but shes shed before with me an she has been fine

she is maybe about 9mo now

has anyone else had anything similar happen?

Koopa used to hand feed crickets from me but he does not now. He WILL eat any worm from my hand tho...weird. Maybe her personality changed or somethin. Mine runs out the cage to me I guess im lucky on that end, at least for right now. He is 10 months as well.

no, i thought that could be the case but im not sure.

she's got a laying bin in her cage anyway.

i have had a feel of her stomach and i can feel a sort of lump but its only one, sometimes she looks fat and sometimes she looks really thin.

am i right in thinking if i was to put her in a large separate laying bin it could spur on egglaying?

I do not have a female but I have a panther that I got at about 3-4 months and he will be 3 yrs old in a couple of weeks. Over the past few months he has gotten super feistly and flares up at everyone. His coloring has been off the charts too! I am thinking he has lived about 1/2 of his life so maybe it is a midlife crisis! haha He actually snapped at my daughter when she tried to bring him inside from his outdoor cage. He has never done that to me. If he kinda flares up I still just pick him up. I feel like I gotta show him who is really the boss! He usually settles down once I pick him up.
