In researching vent issues in Chameleons, I found the article below.....
Chameleons consist of two parts: an outside frame flange and an inside center cradle. The center cradle portion of the register is removable from the outside frame just by lifting it out so that cleaning is easy and retrieving lost objects does not require cutting open underlying duct work.
1. I thought they were using code words.
2. This was the Google pre reading - no title included
3. I became terrified with the thought of removing the center cradle.
4.Cleaning and retrieving lost items- what have I gotten myself into....
Moral of the story: read the title before assuming you have found the information you are seeking. The above information is about a Chameleon Floor Vent.... used with hardwood floors!
