Chameleon won’t drink from plants

I mist my chameleons cage about 4 times a day water from the fake plants drip all over the place but for some reason he drinks water from the back of the cage where water gets stuck in the little mesh wholes instead of his plants is that normal ?

The majority of times mine will drink from the mesh as well, his go-to spot is the cage 'ceiling' mesh that gets overspray from the mister in that corner. I've only caught him on a few occasions drinking water drops off of a vine/branch/leaf.

Thanks for the feedback I just wanted to make sure that he wasn’t the only one my chameleon only drinks water from his plants when he’s in his sleep position
