Hello all!
I recently got my chameleon almost 2 weeks ago from the local exotic pet store. He is a sweet boy (2 year old veiled) who loves to climb in his tree.
I was beginning to get a little concerned because he is not eating. I gave him superworms last Monday which he gobbled up happily but then seemed to have threw them up? (It looked like the 4 superworms were stuck together in a clear gooey capsule on a branch the next day) since then he has not eaten again. I have tried hand feeding crickets and superworms, I even left a (washed) hibiscus flower in his cage for him which he just looked at all day.
I keep him in a large reptibreeze (18x18x36) which is the same they kept him in at the pet store. He comes out at least twice a day (by his own choice, he will actually walk over the door when you get close) and climbs in his tree and even goes outside to check the mail.
He might have slightlly sunken eyes, when I bring him out he is bright and beautiful, he is urinating everyday no poop, not sleeping or closing his eyes in the day time, still has a hell of a good grip, and seems just fine otherwise. His cage gets a misting 3 times a day and I offer him crickets and supeworms everyday by hand and free range in cage. I count how many I put in and by the next day I count how many I take out. And it's always the same.
Idk what might be upsetting him or why he isn't eating please help!
PS his lights are on a timer (both heat and uvb) 12 hour (7-7), and he tucks himself into bed in the same spot every night and curls his tail up and turns a beautiful light green.
