Chameleon won't eat

I have a 9 month old chameleon and I usually feed him 4-5 crickets a day with a verity of vegetables . I would usually let him eat the veggie off tweezers cuz it's the only way he will. But now he refuses to eat the crickets and will only eat if I personally give him food. How do I get him to start using his tongue again? I have tried not giving him the vegetables but then he goes days without eating so I usually give him one or two things so he can get calcium.

He's getting to the age where you can feed him every other day. Try feeding him some different feeders, silkworms, hornworms, dubia roaches, and maybe a super worm or wax worm but not many. They seem to get tired of the same old feeders after a while.
Try holding the food further away from him to make him strike for it. They also get lazy.
This would be a good time to review your husbandry to be sure nothing is off that would affect his appetite. i.e. temperatures.

He's due for a temperature increase to that of a mature male.

The temperature is increased naturally cuz the summer. I have given some wax worms and when I can get one a super worm. I'm not able to order the silk worms. And that could be it he does seem to be lazy now that I think about it. I just won't offer food for a while and see how he does thanks
