Chameleon won't move

Zooming in on her eyes, I'd say you have an infection in the one I can see in the picture.

Personally I do not like the CFL's. The first year they came out I picked one up and it put out so much UV my cham had a "sunburn" along his spine. I never bought another and heard others had similar problems back then. No clue about the ones they use today.

Is that cage all glass? Kinda hard to tell from the pictures.

The animal looked dehydrated in some pictures, have you ever put a ficus tree in your shower and put the cham in it for 30 mins with regular water showering the tree? Works wonders if the animal has the strength to climb and hold on to branches.

yeah the cage is all glass, I have not seen any sunburn on her though. whats weird is her eyes look normal and then she will kind of close them like in the picture.
and no I have not done that with the ficus tree, I may try it though.

sorry, the top is screen where the lights are.

I think she has gotten worse since yesterday, and Im going to the vet in the morning. I tried to hand feed her and she wouldnt open her mouth for anything. she seems weak too.

could the un-shed skin over her eyes prevent her from seeing well, she will climb all the way to the top branches in the cage and then reach out all around for more branches even though there is nothing there.

The newer CFLs do not have the problems the original ones did, so if the manufacture date is within the last year or two it should be OK, even though linear bulbs are better overall.

However, I really think two 10% UVB bulbs is too much UVB. If she is having trouble seeing, the intensity of the bulbs may be hurting her eyes. I would turn them both off for a couple days and see if this makes a difference (don't go longer than a few days since lack of UVB causes MBD).

If she is back to normal after the UVB is removed, I would get a ReptiSun 5.0 strip light to replace the existing bulbs, and make sure she can get to within 7" of it. If you need to stay with CFL, get a ReptiSun 5.0 26W CFL. This has 5% UVB and will not be as intense, but will still provide enough UVB to keep her healthy.
