He should not fall asleep while out of the enclosure and being handled. In most cases this is a bad sign. Sounds like you had him out rather late, and that could be part of the issue, but it could also be a reaction from being handled too frequently right away. As for the humidity, right after misting there should be a spike up to 80% or so (not an exact amount) and then it will fall back down from there. It is OK if the levels get down to 45 or 50% before the next misting. Veiled chams are not from very wet areas and can deal with some dry periods as long as they have enough opportunity for hydration.
