Do chameleons move around alot in the wild or do they find an area they like and just live there?

There probably isn't a one-size-fits-all answer for this. There are a lot of diverse species and the sorts of habitats they inhabit vary too. Some species probably make more seasonal movements than others because the climate, habitat conditions, and prey availability force them to. Their movements might just be vertical...up or down through different levels of the canopy or even different elevations across a landscape. Others that live in habitats that don't have as much seasonal variation may not need to move much. Some species are more territorial than others so they may stick closer to a territory they defend more vigorously. Species that are not as territorial may not stick to any one place as much. Territories don't necessarily remain the same throughout the year. A cham may roam more when searching for a potential mate but not roam the rest of the year.
